Kelvin House, smart-home installers in Leeds and West Yorkshire. One plate by the front door. Behind it, every lamp, radiator, blind and lock in the house — wired once, set up around how you live, and looked after for as long as you live there.

  • Wired in six to ten working days
  • Set up and explained room by room
  • Ten years of aftercare, included

One plate, four scenes

The same room, set by one press. We build each scene with you, then the house runs it on time.

  1. 06:45

    Morning

Blinds lift to half, the bathroom floor is already warm, kitchen lights come up cool and bright.

  2. 08:30

    Away

One press by the door: lights off, heating to eco, south blinds down, alarm set.

  3. 18:40

    Evening

Lamps warm to amber, the hall dims to a glow, blinds close as the street lights come on.

  4. 23:15

    Night

Everything off but a low path to the landing, doors locked, heating down to seventeen.

How a job runs

Four steps from the first visit to the day the house runs itself. One team the whole way.

  1. Survey

A free walk round the house with an engineer: rooms, routines, the wiring and where the Wi-Fi gives up.

    Step 1 · 90 minutes on site

House plans spread on a wooden table
  2. Design

Drawings, a device schedule and a fixed quote within five working days. Change anything before we start.

Step 2 · five working days

A line drawing of a four-storey house front and its floor plans
  3. Install

First fix while walls are open, second fix and setting up after. Our own engineers, no subcontractors.

Step 3 · six to ten days

An engineer fixing a fitting into a wall with a screwdriver
  4. Handover

We set the scenes with you, room by room, and leave the house learning your week.

Step 4 · one afternoon together

A couple in their kitchen looking at a tablet together

After the van leaves, the house stays on our list.

Every Kelvin House home is watched, tuned and visited. One number, a named engineer, and a same-week call-out when something needs hands.

Questions

What people ask on the survey, answered before it.

Do you need to chase walls or lift floors?

In most homes, no. We use existing back boxes and ceiling voids, and wireless controls where a cable cannot reach. New builds and renovations get a fully wired system while the walls are open.

What happens if the internet goes down?

Everything keeps working. Scenes, schedules and plates run on a controller in the house; the internet only adds the app away from home and our remote checks.

Can we keep our switches and radiators?

Usually. Most radiators take a smart valve in minutes, and we can fit dimmers behind your current plates or match new plates to them.

How long does an install take?

Essentials takes about three days on site. A whole house is six to ten working days, phased so you can live there throughout.

Are we tied to you afterwards?

No. We choose open, well-supported systems and explain why in your design. At handover you get every password, drawing and device list.

What does aftercare cost after ten years?

Year eleven onwards is an optional plan at £14 a month, covering remote checks, the annual visit and call-outs.
