Meet the
leagues

Three nights a week the league bowlers own the lanes. Every league has a captain who will find you a team, lend you a ball and teach you the handshake.

Never bowled?
Good.

Rookie hour runs every Sunday at 11am: forty minutes with a coach, two games after, £8 with shoes.

  1. 1

    Pick a ball

About a tenth of your weight. Two fingers and a thumb, and no squeezing.

  2. 2

    Walk four steps

Start slow, finish low and slide on the last step.

  3. 3

    Aim at the arrows

Look at the arrows on the lane, not the pins. The pins take care of themselves.

Before you
roll up

Do I need to book a lane?

Walk-ins are welcome whenever a lane is free. Friday and Saturday nights fill up, so book ahead for those.

Do you have shoes in my size?

From kids' size 10 to adult 15, cleaned after every pair. Shoe hire is in the lane price.

Can small children bowl?

Yes. Bumpers pop up at the touch of a button and we have ball ramps for the smallest bowlers.

Is there an age limit at night?

Under-18s are welcome until 9pm with an adult. Glow Friday after nine is for over-18s.

Can I bring my own ball?

Of course. League bowlers can rent a locker for £30 a season.

Is the building step-free?

Yes, from the street to every lane, with an accessible toilet and two lanes kept clear for wheelchair ramps.
