Six nights to stay up for

The rooms are open on every other night as well. These are the ones that change them: a film, two bodies on the floor, a garden of glass, a walk with the lights off.

Four rooms, one long night

The building was a printing house. Its four rooms keep their own light after dark, and every visit walks through all of them.

Curator's note · 8 min

What the eye does after midnight

In low light the eye gives up on detail and starts reading shapes. Our curator on why some work only shows itself late, and why we never light a painting brighter than a candle in the next room.

The last lamp

Every night the last lamp is switched off by hand. A short portrait of the person who does it.

Questions for the night

Anything else: ask at the door, or write to us before the evening.

Is it really open until two?

Yes, Thursday to Sunday. Last entry is at 01:30; the rooms close at 02:00 and the garden bar ten minutes earlier.

Do I need a ticket for the Friday screening?

Seats are free with the Night Pass and €9 at the door. The hall holds ninety people; pass holders can reserve until Thursday noon.

Is the building accessible?

All four rooms and the hall are step-free, with a lift to the first floor. The light stays low, so ask at the door for a hand torch.

Can I bring children?

Before 22:00, with an adult. After that the rooms are for visitors aged sixteen and over.

Can I take photographs?

Yes, without flash. The Red Room asks for no photographs while its installation is running.
