Four bikes, one push

Every bike has the same motor rules: assist while you pedal, up to 15.5 mph. What changes is the frame, the load and the range.

Questions

Anything else: ring the Station Arches stand, someone is in the workshop all day.

Do I need to be fit to ride one?

No. The motor helps as soon as you pedal, so you choose how much effort to put in. On the highest assist level most riders climb our steepest streets seated.

How old do riders have to be?

Sixteen or over to ride on your own. Children from one to seven can ride on the Hauler's seats with a parent pedalling.

What if the battery runs low?

The screen shows the range left. Ride to any stand and we swap the battery in a minute, free. A flat battery still leaves you a normal bike with light gears.

Can I take a bike on the train?

The Pocket folds and travels as luggage on every train. The other bikes go on Northern services outside the rush hours, space permitting.

Do you take a deposit?

We hold £200 on a card while the bike is out and release it when you return it. Nothing is taken unless there is damage beyond the £50 excess.
