Since 2011, three podiatrists in Nottingham have looked after more than 11,000 pairs of feet: toddlers’ first shoes, marathon training blocks, ninety-year-old gardeners and everyone in between.

  • No referral needed

Book directly; most health insurers accepted.

  • Registered podiatrists

  • Six days a week

    Weekdays 8:00 to 19:00, Saturdays 9:00 to 14:00.

Your first visit, step by step

No jargon and no surprises. This is exactly what happens in the hour you spend with us, and what you take home afterwards.

A podiatrist kneeling to fit a support to a seated patient's foot
  1. 01

    Tell us where it hurts

Fifteen unhurried minutes on your history, your shoes and what a normal week asks of your feet.

  2. A podiatrist's hands checking both of a patient's feet
    02

We look, press and watch you walk

A hands-on examination of joints, skin and circulation, then a short walk on the gait track so we see the problem under load.

  3. Cream being applied to a patient's foot on a treatment couch
    03

    Treatment on the same day

Nails, corns, calluses and most verrucas are treated in the same appointment, so you leave lighter on your feet than you arrived.

  4. 04

A plan you can keep up at home

Exercises, footwear notes and a review in six weeks, written down and emailed the same evening.

Where does it hurt?

From the tips of your toes to the back of your heel: what we see most often, and what we do about it.

Bare feet crossed on the arm of a sofa
  1. Toes and nails

Ingrown toenails, thick or fungal nails, hammer toes

Nail surgery is done under local anaesthetic in about 45 minutes, and you walk out in your own shoes.

  2. Ball of the foot

    Morton's neuroma, metatarsalgia, painful corns

We offload the sore spot the same day with padding, then fix the cause with footwear changes or insoles.

  3. The arch

Flat feet, high arches, tired feet by the afternoon

A gait assessment shows whether the arch needs support, strength or simply better shoes.

  4. The heel

Plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, growing pains in children

Exercises and insoles settle most heels; shockwave therapy helps the stubborn ones that have lasted over six months.

  5. Ankle and lower leg

Achilles pain, shin splints, sprains that never settled

We look at how the foot lands and loads, because most of these start lower down than they hurt.

  6. Skin

Verrucas, calluses, cracked heels, diabetic foot checks

Gentle, sterile care and an annual diabetic check with a written report for your GP.

We watch you walk

On the treadmill, filmed from behind and from the side at 240 frames a second. Slowed down, a stride shows what a foot does under load, and why a knee, hip or back keeps complaining.

A man in shorts mid-stride running across a lawn
  1. Heel strike

Does the heel land square, or roll in before the arch can take the weight?

  2. Loading

How far the arch drops as the body passes over it, and how quickly it recovers.

  3. Push-off

Whether the big toe bends enough to push, or the foot twists out to avoid it.

  4. Swing

Hips, knees and arm swing, because a foot problem rarely stays in the foot.

Insoles made from your own feet

Shop insoles are built for an average foot. Ours start from a scan of yours, are shaped by the podiatrist who watched you walk and are milled in our workshop behind the clinic, ready in nine working days.

Back on their feet

“I’d stopped running for two years because of my heel. Six weeks of exercises and one pair of insoles later, I ran a half marathon again.”

“The nail had been digging in since spring. Forty minutes, no pain worth mentioning, and I was back on the allotment that weekend.”

Three podiatrists, one standard

Every patient sees a registered podiatrist, never an assistant, and the same one from the first visit to the last.

Questions we hear at the door

Something else on your mind? Call the front desk and ask; that's what it's for.

0115 000 0000
Do I need a referral from my GP?

No. You can book directly with us. If something needs your GP or a scan, we write to them with what we found.

Will nail surgery hurt?

The injection stings for a few seconds; after that the toe is numb for the whole procedure. Most people take paracetamol that evening and nothing after.

What should I bring to my first visit?

Your usual shoes, including the pair that hurts, a list of any medication and shorts or loose trousers for the gait track.

How long do custom insoles last?

Two to four years for everyday shoes, less for heavy running. A yearly check and re-cover are included for the first two years.

Do you see children?

Yes, from first steps upwards. Children's appointments are longer, and a parent stays in the room throughout.

Can I claim on my health insurance?

Most insurers cover podiatry. Bring your policy and authorisation numbers and we invoice them directly, so you pay only any excess.
