“The colour still hits after three winters. It is the coat strangers stop me in the street to ask about, and it has never once looked tired.”

The season in five colours

Every autumn–winter piece is cut from these five rolls, so whatever you buy this season stacks with everything else you own from it.

  1. Outer shells

    Signal red

Shell jackets, zip pulls and the lining of every hood. The colour you are seen in from across the street.

  2. Knits and fleece

    Marigold

Chunky knits and sheer mid layers, warm under red and loud under cobalt.

  3. Padding and puffers

    Cobalt

Puffers and quilted vests in a deep blue that holds its colour after a hundred washes.

  4. Faux fur and trims

    Peony

Collars, cuffs and one full fur coat, soft enough to soften the louder panels.

  5. Shirts and base layers

    Glacier

Overshirts and tees in a pale cold blue that sits under every other colour.

Machinists at long sewing tables covered in cut red fabric panels

One cutting room in Antwerp, where surplus rolls become panels and panels become coats.

Eleven people cut, join and finish every OUTRE piece by hand. We buy the ends of rolls other houses leave behind, so each run is short and no two seasons look the same.

  • Surplus first

Panels come from end-of-roll fabric bought from Belgian and Italian mills.

  • Taped seams

Every outer seam is taped and stitched twice, so shells stay dry and panels stay put.

  • Repairs for life

Send any piece back and we replace a worn panel with one from the current season.

Before you order

Sizing, delivery and the repair service in short. Anything else, the cutting room answers within two working days.

Ask the cutting room
How do the sizes run?

Shells are cut roomy so a knit and a mid layer fit underneath. If you wear them alone, take one size down; every product page lists the garment's own measurements.

Where do you deliver and how fast?

Across the EU, the UK, Korea and the US. Orders leave Antwerp within two working days and arrive in two to six more, with tracking from the moment they leave.

Can I return a piece?

Yes, within thirty days, unworn and with its tags. Returns inside the EU are free; we refund to the original payment method once the parcel reaches us.

How does the repair service work?

Book a repair in your account, post the piece to the cutting room and we replace any worn or torn panel with one cut from the current season. You pay only the return postage.

How should I wash colour panels?

Zip it closed, turn it inside out and wash at thirty degrees with similar colours. Dry flat; the padding recovers its loft after a few minutes in a dryer on low.
