Nothing to hear but the tyres.

Hub motor

Inside the rear wheel. No chain, no clutch, no oil on your trousers.

Brakes that charge

Every stop at a light puts a little back in the battery.

A battery you carry

Nine kilos with a handle. Lift it out and charge it from any socket.

A Hush moves you across town at 45 km/h with no engine note at all: the motor sits in the wheel, the battery sits under the seat and the only sound left is the road.

Three ways to go quiet

The same hub motor and the same carry-in battery under every one. Choose the seat, the box and the attitude.

3 hours

From flat to full on an ordinary plug. Thirty minutes covers the school run.

Charge it at your desk, not at a pump.

The battery sits under the seat with a handle on top. Lift it out, carry it up to the flat or the office and plug it into the wall like a laptop.

  1. 1

    Lift

Unlock the seat with the key fob and pull the battery out by its handle.

  2. 2

    Plug

Any three-pin socket. The charger lives in the battery, not in a box.

  3. 3

    Ride

Drop it back in, hear nothing, go. A ring of light on the dial shows the charge.

  1. Four paints, mixed in Hackney

    Lido green

The colour of the outdoor pool at London Fields in August, in a deep gloss that shrugs off rain.

  2. Harbour blue

Deep enough to hide a winter of road salt, bright enough to find in a full bike bay.

  3. Mustard

For riders who would like to be seen from the other end of the high street.

  4. Postbox red

The red you already trust with your letters, on two silent wheels.

Made for hands, not only for looks

Everything you touch on a Hush is metal, leather or glass. The plastic stays underneath, where the battery and the motor do their quiet work.

A Hush counts as a moped, so a one-day CBT puts you on the road at sixteen. It fits a bike bay, a front garden or the space beside the bins, and it turns the trip across town into fifteen minutes nobody hears.

Own it outright, or ride it by the month.

Both paths come with the same moped, the same battery and the same mechanic at your door.

We come to you. Your Hush never sees a garage.

Servicing happens where the moped lives: your street, your office car park or your drive.

What riders hear instead

Twelve thousand riders across London. Six of them, in their own words.

Before you ride

Still wondering? Call the showroom on 020 0000 0000.

Do I need a licence?

A Hush is a moped: it tops out at 45 km/h. With a car licence issued before 2001 you can ride straight away; otherwise a one-day CBT is enough.

How far does one battery go?

About 80 km of town riding on the H1 and H2, and 160 km on the H3 with both bays filled. Cold mornings take a little off.

Where do I charge it?

From any ordinary three-pin socket. The battery lifts out by its handle, so it can charge at your desk or by the sofa.

What does servicing cost?

The first service is free. After that a visit to your door is £59, or included in the monthly plan.

Can I try one first?

Yes, free, for an hour: from the Hackney showroom, or delivered to your street anywhere inside zone 2.

What if it's stolen?

Every Hush has a tracker and an immobiliser that locks the hub motor. Monthly plans include theft cover.

Ride one for an hour, free.
